Remedial massage is clinically proven and highly effective at alleviating musculoskeletal pain, restoring muscle function and increasing ROM. 

A remedial treatment will involve an assessment to determine postural alignment and muscles that aren’t firing correctly. Your therapist will use soft tissue manipulation techniques on stuck/shortened/knotted muscle fibres / connective tissues - to alleviate pain, prevent further injury and to enhance strength/movement. 

Your therapist is highly trained to safely manipulate muscle tissue, investigate root causes and provide exercise prescription.

A remedial treatment may including PNF Stretching, Myo-Fascial Release, Dry-Needling, Active Releases, Functional Cupping and Trigger Point Therapy. 

The goal of Therapeutic Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Its therapeutic nature decreases stiffness/pain, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body. Expect breathwork to assist the parasympathetic nervous system drive (our rest and digest response). Cupping, aromatherapy and craniosacral inspired techniques are often applied if desired.

 MLD is a light, skin-stretching massage that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of the swollen limb. It should not be confused with a traditional massage. MLD is specifically focused on the lymph vessels to help the flow of lymphatic fluid. Therapy is applied to your unaffected areas first, making it possible for the fluid to move out of the affected area, or “decongest” the region. MLD helps open the remaining functioning lymph collectors and move protein and fluid into them, as well as to help speed up lymph fluid flow through the lymphatics.
